The Angmering Golf Academy was established 6 years ago, and is a collaborative effort between the local Golf Clubs and the school to support golfers achieve their potential.

Practice is on Wednesday afternoons at Ham Manor and at least one driving range session a week. Players compete in the British Schools and Colleges League which gives them tournament play through the winter finishing in National Finals at a top venue in April/May.

To be considered for the golf academy players need a handicap of 18 or less, the team is selected on the 6 players with the lowest handicaps.

Our senior golf academy, achieved national success in 2012, with three players reaching the National Finals staged at St Andrews Bay, they followed this up with the team reaching the finals at Sandwich in 2013, Jack Halsey finished in 25th place and Elodie-Jane Yates finished 10th in the girls competition.

Elodie-Jane Yates reached her third consecutive National Final played at Ganton Golf Club in Yorkshire where she achieved a 10th place finish again.

Both Josh and Elodie-Jane were given scholarships to play College Golf in the USA, Josh is in his secnd year at Darton College in Georgia and Elodie-Jane is in her first year at Murray State College in Oklhoma.
