The step from GCSEs to A levels is a significant one and creates its own sets of challenges. This is also a time when ones social life can go through a lot of changes and at Angmering we provide support to help you on your way.
Your Tutor is a key individual in your life at our Sixth Form. They will provide you with group tutorials and individual advice over the course of your time here. It is their role to monitor your progress and ensure that you are on track, as well as assisting with any personal or academic issues you may have. They also will write your reference for university/work so they will get to know you well.
Through our Bursary Scheme, we can support students from low income backgrounds.
Welfare and Counselling
We have access to qualified counsellors here and also our staff are trained to deal with sensitive issues in a compassionate and supportive manner. We have a Drop in Clinic once a week with the School Nurse, who can provide support with Health Related issues.
Gifted and talented
If you have been identified as gifted and talented in a particular area, you will get all the support and encouragement you need here. We run a programme of preparation for our potential Oxbridge, Russell Group, or Medical candidates, taking students to the Universities and running mock interviews. We encourage our Gifted and Talented students to take the AQA Extended Project.
